Liberty Alphabet & Number Initial Patches
Add a little Liberty charm to jackets, bags, quilts, lunch bags and more with our handcrafted Liberty fabric patches. Available in two versatile sizes — 2 inch and 3 inch — they’re perfect for covering little wear spots, personalising special pieces, or adding a sweet vintage-inspired touch to your creations.
Each patch is carefully made using genuine Liberty fabric with beautifully finished edges for a polished look and lasting durability.
Choose your preferred finish:
• Iron-On — quick and easy application for everyday use (instructions included and below)
• Stitch-On — ideal for extra durability or heirloom sewing projects
Perfect for mending, decorating, scrapbooking, school items, handmade gifts and slow sewing projects.
Sizes Available
• 2 inch (approx 5.5cm tall)
• 3 inch (approx 7.7cm tall)
Because each patch is handmade, pattern placement may vary slightly, making every piece unique.
Instructions for use:
- Set your iron to a to high heat setting. No steam.
- Ensure garment you're attaching to is clean and wrinkle free. Lay it flat on a hard, sturdy, and heat-resistant surface.
- Place the embroidered iron-on patch face up in desired position.
- Place a thin cloth/baking paper on top of the patch before ironing (to avoid damaging the patch).
- Place hot iron on top of the patch, directly over the design. Apply firm, even pressure. Hold it in place for approx 10 seconds.
- Turn garment inside-out and place the hot iron on the back of the patch for approx 10 seconds (optional)
- Allow to set: Leave to fully cool before wearing. It's generally recommended to wait at least 24 hours before washing to ensure maximum durability.
- No tumble dry. Line dry only
- Iron-on patches work best with materials like cotton and polyester but can seriously damage fabrics like nylon, rayon, or rain-jacket material.
Note: If you've followed the above steps and your patch is still not sticking, it might be worth considering alternative attachment methods such as sewing or using fabric glue.
